So at the risk of pointing out the obvious... the Forge Hub forum has a brand new look, with a little help from VB4! It's been a long time coming and we hope you guys enjoy it. Personally, we couldn't be happier - especially that chipper little monitor fellow in the equally-new logo. He's happiest of all. Actually, maybe a little TOO happy. He's kind of sweaty, and it's grossing us out.
Anyway, along with our new look we wanted to mention that we also have a new attitude as well. It's not quite as brand-spankin', paint-still-wet, slow-down-for-corners new as the forum design, but it's been quietly rolling out for weeks now and we're proud to announce that we and our new attitude love each other, and the wedding ceremony was this afternoon. Sorry you didn't get invited, but the fish at the reception was awful anyhow. That is all to say, this is officially your Friendlier Forge Hub Experience. No more getting dinged for jokey posts made in good fun. No more drive-by infractions because your reply to a map thread barely aspired to sentence fragment status. We on the staff are still taking our role seriously, but that role has changed: we're here to help you, first and foremost; to make sure the site runs smoothly and generates content you want to read and watch and listen to, secondly; and last, just to keep the peace - but in a friendly way.
If you've felt that this place was a bit rigid and formal in the past, we hope you'll now take this opportunity to kick off your shoes, plop down on the new couch, and play some motherlovin' Halo with us. The old girl still looks pretty good; she just needs a new dress every so often.
