Monday Is The New Sunday
Hey there, guys. Welcome to the site update. Why don't you take a minute to get all snug and comfy, take your shoes off, maybe pack and light your pipe, and start that real log fire in your brick fireplace. Can't you just hear the crackle of the fire place and the tapping of the rain on the roof and windows? Good, now that you're all comfy I might as well get the hard part out of the way. I'm just a little bit late. Only a day! But still, noticeably late. And for that I apologize. School work can get the best of us, as I'm sure quite a few of you can attest to. But, better late than never! So let's get this party started.

ForgeHub Favorites

Would you look at that, everyone's favorite ForgeHub tradition is back: ForgeHub Favorites! The newest submission thread can be found here. Submitting maps for consideration is a bit different this time around. Since we can't directly link to files you'll have to give a bit more information about the map name, gametype, and author. This is, of course, a quick-fix until the file sharing system is put in place by 343I. And let's hope that's soon.

If you have any questions you can contact Organite

Forgotten Treasures III

"Did I hear the word, treasure?" you may be asking yourself. Well yes, you, you certainly did. But it's not what you think. Forgotten Treasures is the long running contest we have where forgers remake their favorite classic Halo maps in the newest Halo game. For this contest, every on-disc or DLC map from Halo Ce, 2, 3, or Reach is up for the remaking. Exciting, no?

This contest is going to be running two months, longer than our contests usually do. This is partially to account for the lack of an online file service, which should hopefully be set in place before the contest is even close to over.

If you have any questions about the contest, or just want to chit-chat about what maps you want to see in the contest, head on over the announcement thread http://www.forgehub.com/forum/announcements/141848-forgotten-treasures-iii.html. And if you have any questions they can be aimed squarely at Shad0w Viper, our resident pretty cool guy.

The Crimson Map Pack:
December is here, and with it 343i has released the first of their map packs: The Crimson Map pack. Consisting of three new maps, the Crimson Map Pack is certainly going to be a refreshing change of pace for those who enjoy Match Making.

The Guild:
[l-col]The Tester’s Guild: among the piles of armor and glistening weapon racks you’ll find a large number of Hubbers march into the digital battlefields and test the crap out of your newly crafted map. The guys in the Tester’s Guild may have personalized opinions, but each is capable of giving you input both on things they enjoyed and disliked about your map, helping you achieve a perfect gameplay balance before you post your newly polished battlefield here in our map database. Should you want them to give your map a run through, redirect your browser to this forum here, read the posting guidelines, and set yourself up for success through the men at work behind the scenes in the Tester’s Guild. Enjoy playing Halo? Enjoy giving map creators input? Work for the Guild![/l-col][r-col]Every so often (every other Friday to be exact) a selection of refined and scholarly individuals from our forums host an evening full of custom games and shenanigans. Depending on what those individuals choose to host, whether it be competitive, casual, infection, invasion, mini-game oriented or a mix of them all is up to these bastions of fun, but it's up to you which of these lobbies you join. Sit back, put your feet up, throw back that shot-glass full of Jack Daniels, and enjoy a night with cool dudes from all around the world. If you'd like to host your own official lobby for our next TGIF, send a private message to me, RightSideTheory.[/r-col]

Question of the Site Update:
Last time around we asked you an interesting question, "What parts of Halo 4 are you enjoying the most?". This time around I'm going to give you guys another follow up question:

What do you guys think of the new Map Pack?

If you have any thoughts on this article, or the front page in general, that you would like to share with us then we invite you to post your opinions in the Front Page Feedback thread.
