Welcome, welcome! To the results of our November contest, the Fast and the Forge! For those of you whose adrenal glands get hot and bothered from the competitive edge that Halo: Reach racing brings about, this results thread is the place for you.

While this is only second in line regarding our monthly contests, the Fast and the Forge has proven yet again that the Halo community is full of creativity. Thank you everyone who participated, all the maps that were entered were of the utmost quality. And while all of the entrants deserve attention, contests are contests--here are your results!

3rd Kanto by FlotownHockey

Boasting a handful of graded curves through his race map, FlotownHockey has taken aesthetics to the next level. As you and your buds race around this excellently crafted map you'll notice three easily distinguishable characters: Charizard, Blastoise, and Venasaur; the Pokemon! Kanto has a wonderful mixture of forged raceway and natural terrain, keeping players on their toes as they drift their way to success. Combine that with the excellent and reliable jumps built into the map and you've got yourself a racetrack map that's worth keeping on your harddrive. In my opinion, the only thing keeping this from a higher rank is the starting area, which seems to inevitably land people in the ocean. Regardless, this is one high quality racetrack map you don't want to miss!

2nd Danville 2 by joeljohnson

joeljohnson's Danville 2 breaks the mold from what a traditional race map is supposed to be. Sharp corners, dips, bridges and shortcuts are all present in this city oriented race map. This racetrack map loops so frequently you'll often lose track of what lap you're on. But that's the fun of it! Winding your way back and fourth across this unique playspace while trying not to collide with the opposition around every corner is a very unique twist. This subgenre of a race map is something we didn't expect to see!

1st Road Work Ahead!! by Ducain238

Snagging first place is Road Work Ahead!!--the map that has literally integrated its jumps with it's aesthetics and theme. The first thing that you'll notice while racing throughout the waving corners is the plethora of helicopters either taking apart the raceway or constructing it. While this is opinion is for each to decide, what is forced by the map itself is an excellent mixture of jumps, dips and drifts. I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed a racetrack map as much as this one in a long, long time. If these pictures don't convince you (which they will), check out his video and go get some races in!!
