What a beautiful afternoon it is today; the cool wind blowing through the quiet neighborhood knocking leaves from their trees and to the ground below. Oh who am I kidding, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you fellow forgehubbers. I'll keep it short though so we can get on with the results. Due to my busy life schedule of school, work, and fatherhood, I'm going to be throwing in my bloody towel as a Journalist and taking on the position of Guardian. I know I've only been writing articles for about two months now, but this will be my last one.

For this term we have three maps in the competitive category. If you're a die hard Big Team Battle fan then these results aren't for you. This time around we have a 1v1, 2v2, and 4v4 map for you guys to enjoy. Every one of these spaces is unique in it's own way so there is definitely something here for every competitive gamer. That being said, lets move on to the results...if you're still reading and didn't skip to them in the first place.

Kalmaya by Paranoia UK

The incredibly well crafted bank 2x1 structures are the main pieces that make this map aesthetically unique. Paranoia UK scores himself first place with his masterpiece, Kalmaya. This level is built for free-for-all or two versus two. The asymmetric design behind this map is an uneven grassy terrain with a central catwalk that runs through the middle, and a second floor that takes you around the outskirts of the whole playground. There are three UNSC and one Covenant power weapons that found their home in Kalmaya, a Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, and Concussion Rifle. Be a cool kid and download Kalmaya!

Gerish by Nick Taber

Unlike Kalmaya, Gerish is a symmetrical battlefield set for four versus four play. Most of the map is broken up into small rooms and cover so close quarters combat plays a dominant role. However, there are areas with long lines of sight such as the one in the middle that stretches all the way from red to blue hallway. There is a set of two-way teleporters on either side that allow you to jump from your team's hallway to the back of the map putting you right next to the almighty Gravity Hammer. Nick Taber has built quite the competitive map; if you're looking for a good map to play some good ol' 4v4 on then Gerish is the way to go!

Opal by Rorak Kuroda

The Iridescence map pack must be something special considering this is the second term in a row featuring one of the three maps. Opal has vertical gameplay written all over it. The unique layout to this asymmetrical arena is that most of the map takes place on the rimming. There really isn't a middle to it, just an open space for you to put shots on your enemy from across the map. A Sniper Rifle rests on the end of a plank hovering above the ocean below, much like those on a pirate ship. Want a Grenade Launcher? Just walk off the plank and land on the platform below to claim this prize. If you're a fan of 1v1's then you'll love Opal.

There you have it, yet another three maps showcased in our beloved Forge Hub Favorites. Don't forget to congratulate these guys on their accomplishments. Also don't forget to nominate for the next round (link to the thread is just below). It's been fun guys, but I must say goodbye; say goodbye as the author of these anyway. I'll still be around, just not red. This outta be fun, I haven't been purple since I was in the Testers Guild. Anyways, I wish you all to keep active in your nominations and votes to the future Forge Hub Favorites.
