TGIF 24: Recap

My 3rd TGIF was an even greater success than last fortnight. Keeping a steady if smaller party for the whole period was great and really allowed us to get some great games in. We kicked off with a FFA 5 player game on purification which was unsurprisingly mental seeing as it was designed as a 1v1 map!. We then moved onto a few minigames such as hall of balls and toilet which as always, never fail to entertain. As the party progressed into it's second hour, competitive maps were cracked out again and we had an intensely close and enjoyable game on Mendicant. There was just 5 kills between 1st and last! We also tested my upcoming map Winterfell on team snipers which played remarkably well despite the long sightlines. We finished up with my 'Intense' super difficult firefight gametype which in all my testing, no team has beaten the first wave! Suffice to say, we got annihlated as I didn't properly explain the concept of 'no extra lives' to my party!.
Anyways, on with the pics:

Recap:

Sorry to say that I don’t have any pictures or maps for you to download. Why is this? Because I decided to move my TGIF to a different game this week. This week saw the release of the Battlefield 3 Beta and so came a TGIF. Over the weekend, we rotated several teams of awesome people into games and we had an awesome time. Although we got split up a couple of times by EA’s spotty server service, we ended up having a great time. The opportunity to have everyone on the same level, provided for an extremely fun competitive scene.

Throughout the weekend we had many laughs and lots of fun. We played some competitive games when we were shafted to other teams and pub stomped people when we were all on the same team. Eventually however, we devolved into a straight up cross map sniper war, where TheM3T4LL1CP4ND4 was the outright winner with his ridiculous 256m headshot. The new game was a lot of fun and playing with you guys was even more fun. There are so many more great experiences that we had over the weekend that I could write a ton more, but as I have college applications to write, this will be brief. Thanks ViciousVice for helping me host and having an all around great time and anyone else out there who joined, thanks for the awesome times. See you next time!

Hello Everyone!

My fourth consecutive lobby- That means Im now an official TGIF Host, blue rank and all! I ran this lobby all weekend, and therefore lost track of the games we played, But there were a lot of great moments and alot of great maps, all worth mentioning.

I becoming known as the FWOT guy, and for good reason. I now have 8 FWOT compatible maps that are either completed or near completion. Ever since I figured out how to set up premade maps for FWOT, I got tons of messages with people requestion their map to be made compatible. My favorite of all the maps that I worked with was Mocknizzle's Metropolis, which I'm sure you've all played. We played a few FWOT games over the weekend on Metropolis, and it played surprisingly well, as Metropolis was not designed to support 4v4 Scorpions. Players really enjoyed it, and I only wish I could get more players in the game.

We also played a lot of FWOT games on my latest complete map, Tutropolis. It is an urban map with tight turns, beutifull parks, and tank barrels poking 'round every corner! Honestly the best moment I ever had playing on it was getting a 6-kill Extermination.

We also had a pretty interesting game on Battleship vs Carrier. One of the players found the secred cave-room which I hid on the map, and the entire enemy team was hanging out in there for a full round. I would throw a picture up, but if you saw it, Im afraid i'd have to kill you ;)

Along with these maps, we played a TANKLOAD of minigames and infection. Mostly Darth Human maps, but also some other maps as well.

Now id like to take a moment to make some special thanks to alot of great forgehubbers (is that a word?) that helped me get my TGIF rank. These people either were there every lobby, or helped with my maps, or were simply very supportive. So special thanks go to:

Darth Human - for posting the link to TGIF on his youtube channel, thereby introducing me to Forgehub
The Berb 9 - For helping me with my first lobby and recap
Mocknizzle008 - For helping me with Tuturopolis asthetics, and FWOT in general
The True Dio - Perfect attendance
Neverendinghalo - Perfect attendance
Poolio - Perfect attendance
Kid Supreme - For "rivalry"
Pegasi - For taking the time and effort to organize all this and make it all possible
The Equinox - Just cuz

So thanks again! Im thinking of taking next TGIF off and joining another lobby, but check the sign-ups nonetheless! Bubbi!

I would post Metropolis FWOT, but I lost the file and need Mock to post it on his Fileshare.

Well my first week as a TGIF host failed quite miserably.... LOL I didn't exactly host, so whoever is in charge doesn't have to count this week towards me getting my TGIF host title. Anyways, I was mainly in Tutui's party throughout the entire weekend. Just for the record, his lobbies are great, don't underestimate his skills! I think he plays a little too much of his FWOT though, ehehehe.... it's fun, but he's just a little conceited about it, but he always has other things to play too :D This is my first recap here on Forgehub, and I'm hoping it's not my last. Well since I did TECHNICALLY host, I'll put the link to the one game I played at the end of this recap. Me and Tutui have agreed to dual host on TGIF 26, not this Friday. He has "special plans". I'm planning on hosting this Friday as well. Sorry I don't have pictures, but like I said, I didn't really host, Tutui just passed the host to me after his lobbies and they didn't exactly last...
