2v2 Throwdown Round 5 (LB Only)
With a pair of articles comes a pair of apologies. Both this announcement and the Voodoo map feature should have been posted yesterday, but with one thing and another both are late to the party. They did, however, still arrive together, which makes it look deliberate and therefore cool.
We're well in to the swing of things now, and Round 5 sees a return to the Loser Bracket only format of Round 3 (and every odd-numbered round hereafter). If you've managed to last this long in the Winners Bracket: enjoy your week off. If not then gear up for another round of battle, but fear not as the end of the group stages is approaching and you only have to last a little longer to ensure your place in the final Championship Group. The process for Round 5 is the same as it was for Round 3, but for those who need a refresher, read on:
Matches have now been posted in the Bracket Boards. Your group remains the same as in previous rounds.
If you were in the Winners Bracket during Round 4 and won your match, you continue in the Winners Bracket and don't have to play in Round 5.
If you were in the Winners Bracket during Round 4 and lost your match, you move down to the Losers Bracket.
If you were in the Losers Bracket during Round 4 and won your match, you continue in the Losers Bracket.
If you were in the Losers Bracket during Round 4 and lost your match, you have been eliminated from the tournament.
You must organise your match in your designated match thread, the proper process for which is detailed in the thread. Remember, matches are best of 3 games, all of which must use the official Throwdown gametype on the specified map for the respective round.
Matches must be played and the results posted (with Bungie.net game link as proof) by Midnight EST on Sunday the 11th of September.
As always, we would like to emphasise how it is each team's responsibility to do all they can to contact and organise a time with their opponents, as in cases where the match is not played it is in your interests to prove that you made every effort possible, thereby avoiding the forfeit. We would also like to remind contestants that any issues or complaints made against an opponent should (if relevant) be accompanied by a saved film of the game in question, uploaded to a file share and linked in the message. Complaints, issues or questions can be sent in a Personal message to myself. For convenience, here are the links to the gametype and map for Round 5, which are the same as they were for Round 4:

Round 6/7 map - Voodoo
Voodoo may have plenty to offer in the pickup department, with two Snipers, Rockets and an Overshield, everything earned on this map is the result of hard work, as the key to controlling these assets is very carefully timing your pushes on them to avoid being caught out in the open. You've got just under a week to practice on What's A Scope's tournament offering, and it'll be in use for a further two weeks after that, so make the most of this time.

http://www.astrogaming.com/Due to Voodoo being posted a day late, you have slightly less than the normal week to familiarise yourself with your home for the next two rounds, though it's still plenty of time to get some essential practice in. No new map next week, but be sure to watch this space to ensure that you have the most time possible for practice on future maps.
Keep your eyes on the prize and as always, good luck!
