Recap:

So this week, pinohkio and I continued our tradition of hosting a longer part with two host. However this idea was dashed and I ended up hosting my own two hour party. This happened, to my dismay, because of my dear, old, sweet, loving, caring mother telling me to “Get off my lazy *** and get a job.” As of today, I have no job. Mission Accomplished. However, even an overbearing mother cannot stop a TGIF party. I returned just as pinohkio ended his party and took over for some more TGIF fun. As always I played some classics, some testing and many laughs with great people.

We started off my party with some Jump rope. As usual, the shenanigans ensued. We happened to have a few guys with us who I will affectionately call “The Squirrels”. These two were members of some clan or another and members of Forgehub’s Tester’s Guild as well. So, while me and pinohkio were making faces at each other while we stood on line, “The Squirrels” began naming the vehicles attempting to kill us. Big Bertha, the Wraith, and the Whale, the Revenant, just to name a few. Next, I loaded up some classic Lost Chamber, and “The Squirrels” and I took to the corner of confidence. The rest of the party followed (see below). Once the party began to die down we began to test maps of the Tester’s Guild. Two maps were tested for CTF and although the one that worked was a good game, the one that was confusing was much more laugh inducing. We coined the term “Easily camped map is easily camped”. Overall the TGIF, although not going as planned, was a bunch of fun. Thanks to everyone, especially pinohkio and “The Squirrels” for making my fourth straight TGIF, an awesome one. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did.

I like this picture. The other guy in the middle and I jump super high over a wraith. Guy on the right is like “????”. The guy on the left is just screwing around.

The Spartan’s entire life was give to one effort. GET THE FLAG OUT OF THE BASE!!! (no caps)

Last Friday was one of the shorter TGIF's I've hosted, lasting a paltry three hours. Nonetheless, we got quite a few awesome games in. In the three hours, we managed to play quite a variety of games, ranging from competitive mini-games (Yahtzee Yahoo) to more random mini-games (Rent a Car). There were heavily competitive games (Bunker Complex) and those that were less competitive (Trench Battlefield). Even infection varied; There were journey maps (The Streets) and objective based maps (The Generators).

Provided that there was a three hour game, we got plenty of variety in. It's great to see people that consistently return to TAG CGN, and I thank all of you who attended. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did (yes, that's a very stereotypical thing to say). Anywho, onto those colorful pictures.

I told everyone to get to the middle if they wanted their picture in the TGIF recap. After proving that my mind-control worked, I told them all to drive into the pits of death. It didn't work.

"No. No, don't do it. No no no no no! Please don't kill me, have a heart? Hm Mr. Zombie, please?"

"This is how dino's really went extinct."

"RAGE."
And for the record, this is me killing myself and a zombie with a rocket. I'll pretend it was a heroic thing to do.

"We don't have enough time in this round to win."
"You suck at math."

Hey guys so on Friday I hosted big ol’ number 8. I know, Ive been plaguing this wonderful recaps with my poor recaps for over two months now. Anyway, onto the recap…

This last TGIF was very ‘quiet’ for me to say the least. We sort of started off slow playing some minigames ( in particular Hogs from Heck and Tetris ) with a handful of people. I soon realized that if I was to get some proper games rolling, I would need to start filling up the party. It then took like twenty minutes, merging two lobbies and inviting every person on Xbox to come play to get a full lobby.

As usual, I hit up some very good CTF and invasion maps such as:

Gully - A very good BTB CTF map situated on the back end of the island. Made by BTB guru ThrowinDemBows. Fun Fact: This map was recently featured here.

First Tracks - A very well done Invasion map built along Forgeworld’s beautiful coastline area. Too bad the long walks on the beach that I enjoy are interrupted by a very horny dinosaur or an aggressive small child.
Made by none other than Flyingshoe ILR. Btw bro I hope youre having an awesome vacation.. Fun Fact: This map recently won a FHF here.

Warhorse - An intricate BTB map co-forged by Titmar and ThrowinDemBows (again?). It features a lot of combat usually alien to the quarry. Fun Fact: This map won a feature recently too.

And anyway guys, after all that kind of stuff I retired to the comforting silence of an empty Forgeworld, free of constsant chatter and the sounds of battle. I guess I should leave some nice lil’ pics down below.

Do you think he caps the flag?

A survivor (me) getting mauled in a corner by 7 zombies. The other 5 are out of your picture.

" That's a very nice warthog you've got there..."

Just some invasion on First Tracks

Berb would also like to thank all the bros who came to game on Friday

I started up a party for the first time. It was a general experiment, conducted on the lack of 4V4 parties. If people were interested, I would host these regularly. If not, I'd drop it like a used condom baby. As it would turn out, people were in fact, interested, and while our numbers dwindled every now and again, the party lasted from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and I'd call that a success.

Overall, the schedule looked something like this:

Precipice
þDerp v1.1
Exile
Erasure
ArK V7
Firefight Versus
Romero Plaza
Clue (x18)
Raging Clue (x7)
Patrician Hunt
Lazer Tag
Citadel
Duck Hunt (x2)

I won't bother linking them, seeing as only about half are posted here, anyways.

Starting with 4V4 competitive games, such as Precipice and Erasure, and testing map, like Derp and Exile, the player count went up and down, while the players themselves changed rapidly. Slowly, the party was cut down until it hit 2V2, with which we treaded into mostly uncharted teritory with a game of firefight Versus. NOT a good idea. It sucked, the humans got obliterated in mere minutes. Now I can tell why you never hear of anyone playing it. There is a reason. Following this, the party split in half, to two people, and right when I was about to offically end it, a new wave of players came, pushing the party to the max of eight, once again. this is where we started the major game of the night: Clue. With eighteen games strong, we played until we once again, took a cut down to five people, a party you can't play clue with. things were looking grim indeed. But then, a good ways into the night, (between the eighteen games of Clue, and the seven of Raging Clue), we merged with Sarge's party, which brought three players with it. Running full steam at eight, we continued for two more hours before players began to peel off again. This one kid was screaming for the generic overplayed minigames, such as Fat Kid and Halo, so I decided to satiate his hunger with a few games of Duck Hunt. At this point, we had five players, three of them orgasiming for Fat Kid, and no one left to invite. It was Fat Kid or bust. Me and Chron chose bust, and simply left. Whatever happened to those three final chubby chasers, I'll never know. And although Chron and I played a few games afterwards, it was clear the main party had ended, so I stopped the time. I think that five hours is certainly a good first TGIF, and I hope to see you all next time!

*Special thanks to HotLikeStove for making us all sandwiches.

A screenshot of our game on Erasure.

We started out with the classic big team battle game on Casket, a fantastic remake of Tombstone from the end if Halo 2's lifetime, and then we moved on to another one of Onyx Melon's creations; a hectic 4 team map which we played slayer on, and a ridiculous game called 5-flag (which I recommend to anybody who has a full party).

Speaking of Onyx Melon, big, big thanks to him for saving my ass b letting me re-download all of the films from the night because I forgot to save them myself; seriously, without him there could be no recap this week. Speaking of Recap; I hope you like classical music. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Finally I remember to get some decent screenshots for the recap. Anyway, here they are.

This first screenshot is a in-progress map MetaWaddleDee is creating. He figured out how to create an automatic machine to give players walkable armor lock (found in forge), but now in custom games! Find out who will win, the wraith, or a horde of armor walkers.

We also played a bit of Hot Pursuit. Meta kept becoming last man, quite a good driver he is.

We hit a record of a whopping 5 mid-air warthog collision on Hogs from Heck.

Here's a screenshot of the blue team pawning red team on Battle Peak.

I don't like how this guy rolls. (look closely at the screenshot)

Overall we had an awesome TGIF, hope to see you all next time!

I hope you all enjoyed the recap. I'd like to thank all the hosts that made this article possible.
