Last Friday, June 24th, our good ole hosts kicked off the last TGIF of the month. The noble party-goers got a chance to get out of the hot sun and into some hot fun. As for as I know, it went swimmingly. I was even told by someone (gt: aLittelB1rd) that there was a TGIS too. Whoever did that should be ashamed for breaking the rules, or he should be awarded for his ingenuity. You decide. I am too busy writing this.

So, let's break off of this intro to get to what matters. Don't forget to play in next time's TGIF.

Ok...

Last weekend I hosted my 7th TGIF lobby and an afterparty TGIS lobby. Im gonna do a recap of both nights seperately. Unfortunatly, I herpa derped and lost my vids from Friday so I have no pics for that lobby. But, the Saturday one has some.

Friday TGIF
Now as some of us know, last TGIF was pretty special. We had Pinoh and Sharp cumming coming together in an orgy. We had Darth not get off his xbox and we had me hosting on Saturday. My Friday lobby however, was normal. Per usual, we hit things off with some Hogs from Heck and some L4D. I then had a strange feeling like i didnt want to play mingames anymore so we began the massive testing session. We played some sweet maps. I would also like to mention that a mentally unstable duck discovered a new-found respect for BTB 1-flag on Cargo Port.

We then came to this point where there was this one guy who wouldnt stop bitching. He said

Let's play some minigames, this sucks!

I was fine with this, and put on a minigame. Then he says

This is fucking stupid!

He obviously wanted the generic minigames like 'Fat Kid' or 'Cops n Robbers' which we all played 2.5 trillion times in H3.

Thankfully my BFF Mocha was in the lobby to have some ultra lulz. Anyway, my friday lobby capped off with a bunch of guys goofing around constantly switching teams whilst im trying to get the game set up and a bunch of our members being dicks to a child for being a 12yr old. Cool guys, very mature. or was that on saturday? i cant remember...

Saturday TGIS
Saturday was different. We played alot of CTF, I was AFK for the last bit and we played maps like:

- Metropolis by MockKnizzle
- BTB Tyrant by Mr Saddo
- Apollo by DUCK NG
- Junkyard by tristanSP
- Pipeline by Berb
and yeah sorry thats it from Saturday there wasnt much to talk about.
Heres some pics to look at cuz I know thats all you want:

This was my fourth time hosting a TGIF, and I must say, fourth time's the charm. Typically my parties go on for about three to four hours, however this party was different. This party lasted seven and a half hours (which, while it isn't as good as Darth's 11.5 hours or Pinohkio/Sharp's 9.5 hours, it was unplanned), and only a few games were repeated (Jump Rope just so happened to be played four times). Adding on to this illustrious night was the fact that we never sunk below the limit of 16 players. Granted, some people did leave, but as soon as they did their place was filled by some other eager individual.

Before the night I also added some new games to the line-up. Aside from the aforementioned Jump Rope, we also played Hail Storm and The Encounter. Overall, the new games went over pretty well, so we can expect to see them in future TGIF's. However, that's not to say that we didn't play some aficionado favorites such as Stealin' Your Flags and Unbroken Sovereignty.

But enough reading, onto the pictures.

After setting my fire alarm off in an attempt to make quesadillas, I returned to the the lobby in which Crash-Up Derby was being played. Completely infatuated with the food in front of me, my movement was limited to driving off the initial platform. However, not only did I not immediately die, but I also won twice, tieing the leaders (no doubt thanks to those who parked next to me forming an immovable wall.

"Yes, that's your motivation. Get to the end so that you can make babies."

"Repeating something over and over doesn't make it any more funny/bearable."
"No, but it does make it popular pop music."

Recap:

Ok. First things first, never attempt a 12 hour party. It is not only exhausting, but difficult to the extreme. Nevertheless, pinohkio and I had a great time with everybody who joined our party. Overall we lasted for 9 1/2 hours and over 50 different people joined and were playing with us at various times, so to list them all would be impractical. However I would like to mention a few special people are those who stayed with us for extended periods of time. Thanks to CanadianNinja, Master Debayter and Duck NG, who was the last man in the party with us. We had an awesome time and although we did struggle to find games to play that we fun for everyone, our party cooperated and were VERY sympathetic with the fact that we had been hosting for so long, and didn’t complain at all. Overall the party was fun, awesome, and wonderful....and not as repetitive as that last sentence.

As for the games we played, you could imagine that after 9 hours we played a little bit of everything. We had a full party right from the start and hopped straight into a little competitive action at 10:00 am EST( -_- ). After playing a few maps and testing others, we headed into matchmaking. We had 12 party members at the time, and in an effort to save some games for later, we picked invasion. The game was hilariously fun with both good competition and laughs. After matchmaking, we went back to playing some custom games and around 3:30 pm I took a break and let pinohkio run the party for an hour. When I came back however, it was pinohkio’s turn for a break and I broke out some custom games. We played some Darth Human classics and my personal favorite, Jetball by Vicious Vice. When pinohkio returned, we played a plethora of Race maps(which I apparently suck at because of my bad connection). Eventually we ran out of maps on our hard drives and started to take suggestions from the party until Master Debayter joined and brought us some new games. He put on a hide and go seek map which needed to test, and it was a very funny experience. For me, however, nothing compares to the Indiana Jones map he put on. With almost a full party running away from a kill ball, the hi-jinx were endless. Overall the party was an awesome experience like it always is... but I’m never hosting a party for that long again.

Pictures:

The Convoy to victory in Invasion Matchmaking. FYI, this later ended up with everyone in the picture dead.

Your worst fear when playing an innocent game of Jump Rope: A Flying -BLAM!- Wraith.

The epic “run for your life” picture. Myself in front for the first (and last) time.

The Group Picture. Figured this was a pretty cool way to get the whole party. BTW, the guy Herp-a-Derp-ing in the back, is Master Debayter. =)

pinohkio:

(A note to readers: never host a massive TGIF, it sucks)

We started off early, at around 10am EST, and it was a terrible idea. Luckily, there were some people in the same time-zone as Sharp and I so things quickly picked up (You'll have to forgive me, I forgot that Reach only saves so many games at once, I was under the assumption that it saved all of the films until you turn off the console).

We were supposed to play a round of Battleship, but it had totally slipped my mind, and I had only just remembered as I went to bed that night (Sorry about that, SoS) Fortunately, I played a round on it the day before, and I can tell you that it is an enjoyable expeiriance and it is well thought out indeed. Back to the TGIF: we did the usul stuff; played some Big Team games, and then some infection and some minigames, we also played a round or two in the invasion playlist. Catalyst made an appearance, as well as that one Tombstone remake (neither are shown in the video) Sharp was there for all of it (save the parts on then L4D gametypes) so he will probably have a lot more about the rest of the games. For now, I leave you with a video recap, and the knowledge that I am awesome.

I hope you all enjoyed the recap. I'd like to thank all the hosts that made this article possible.
