I'm tired, hungry, and multitasking for this article I've never done before. So blame Stevo's internet and Pegasi's equally Bri'ish sleep schedule if this does not turn out as facetious as you've grown accustomed to. However, I will reveal a few staff secrets that haven't been seen before today, on this week's edition of "ARBITRARY ARTICLE FILLER!"

Evoke by Eightball

Of course, I haven't actually loaded up any of these maps, because I haven't had the time. Although, I assume Stevo doesn't either, and since I'm American, that means I have the leg up, as it's expected of me. However, I will say this is an interesting map, namely because of the names associated with it. In a stroke that would rival most aneurisms associated with advertising, Eightball decided to name his map after a vague verb.

Evoke what, exactly?

Well, depending on your mood, it could be frustration that you have to cover yet another article due to unforeseen circumstances, or hunger, as you were unable to eat your burger because the fool that assembled it added the horrible taste of mustard (when that sauce isn't even on the default menu item itself). But if you're in the right frame of mind, you may load up the map despite not having time, and admire the variously staggered and straight lines-of-sight afforded by the curiously-named map. Part of it reminds me of Foundation, and it made me slightly less perturbed to find I was right in my assumption that the creator built the map around the centerpiece. Not that it's a bad way of forging, as he seemed to account for movement around it, as in, it's a deathtrap with a viable reward of a sword should you venture forth, providing cover to those above whilst leaving those in the pit vulnerable to top-down fire.

Though I haven't played it, the joint facts of it looking solid, and the community clamoring to feature it, at least in the communal sense, reinforce the claim that this is a good map. Furthermore, since it reminded me of my glory days of LAN parties in Halo 2, and the want that I need to get a competitive map under my belt, makes me itch for a collaboration, but this isn't the time or place for that. Let's make a map dude.

Wow that was quite a bit of writing for one bit. I'm already tired, and unfortunately I haven't delved into the aforementioned "staff secret" yet.

Apartment 5B by Zatherla

Door number two features a nice apartment furnished by none other than the guy I rejected earlier today. You see, I was in the shout box during my normal mid-morning madness routine, as I yelled at a former admin about strumming the guitar in a kick-ass solo routine without me. Then Zatherla, weird person that he is, decided to ask me for help. Me? Ha.

I told him no, then promptly watched as my hands deleted the thread anyway. Even though that was his request, I get an odd joy out of destroying what someone spent so long trying to build.

In any case, hive mind that you are, the community saw fit to vote for the map despite it already being featured. Couple the amount of exposure with the very nature of an aesthetic map, and I find there to be no need to actual go in and grab a picture of the map in-game. Huzzah! Were I so lucky with the preceding and subsequent ones.

Oh and Peg is a sniper-rifle whore. In the Saturday Night Fight he made me wake up for, he would not stop taking that weapon. I even made mention beforehand that I was essentially a vulnerable spectator without it and he KEPT TAKING IT. Hell, even in the games afterward where I actually went highly positive, I still had to fight for the damn thing. But everyone knows that Peg is better suited to work the streets than take my bloody gun, so that isn't exactly a staff secret. Furthermore, the fact that I'm covering yet another article (which I will continually mention, again and again and again) means we are officially changing the site name to "Sarge Hub" as many have you have suggested for many years. You're welcome.

Jia by Rho Fs

Now, if you're particularly astute or eidetic, you'd've noticed not only that I combined two contractions in a logical sense, but I've been working backwards from the least winning votes to most. So we've arrived at Jia, a name weird than both a verb and the guy who named it. (Seriously, "Rho Fs" makes more sense than Hectiic?)

Gee, uh, I really don't have much to say about this map, Jia. But you're not really here to read my writing are you (what a horrible choice, a writer writing for a writer's position on a FORGE site, what was I thinking?) and if you are, you just want to read the nifty, handy dandy, tidbit that doesn't refer to weird, archaic adjectives nobody uses anymore.

Well, not-friends, the staff secret, which isn't that big but might get me some slack for mentioning, is that Jia is currently in consideration for feature. I haven't played it, I don't know much of what's going on in the discussion, but I do know that I could be lying. However, I could also consider saying this because no other staff is on and this is the umpteenth time I've had to cover for someone else's misfortune.

I'm not even going to insert a conclusion. Hmph.

Wow, as I clicked out of this, I saw that the last iteration had four maps in it. You are so lucky there wasn't a tie or you wouldn't be getting an article. So, so lucky. Let that be a warning to you all. Awwww, I have to make a nominations thread too?
