Man not much to say in this opening paragraph now that my teasing about Insane's trip to MLG Columbus doesn't make sense. I guess we'll just get on with the update then!

Promotions!

No, not really actually. Truly, it's a demotion. Our good friend X5 leaves us today, gone to the other side. You may best know him for reviving Forge Hub Favorites, or running the Hub of the Dead contest. Those actually, are the only things he did. But I kid, I kid X5 was a good friend and he will be missed. Well, I guess he didn't actually go anywhere, but whatever it was more dramatic!

The Contest of All Mother Truckin' Contests

You may have noticed the continual shoutbox advert this passed week letting you know that if you ever want something worthwhile to come out of your forging, you need to enter this contest. Dramatic much? Yeah, I thought so too. But in all honesty this contest, deemed Foreign Treasures, brings together our love of shooters with our love of creatively making maps with giant stone blocks, all in the name of winning a wonderful bean bag chair. You can check out the chair and more at Sumo Lounge, our sponsor for this contest. Anyway guys, if you are interested in remaking your favorite shooter maps in forge and you wanna try your luck at winning our awesome prize, check out Foreign Treasures.

The Review Hub is Kickin' into Gear

The recently revived Review Hub (alliteration FTW!) has been getting to work giving you the low down on your successes and fails. All their thoughts have been documented over at the TRC Guild board. If you want to check out what they have to say about your map and others, or want to apply to become a member, check out the Review Hub here. Below is a list of their most recent reviews as I'm sure you all are craving extra reading material.

Galaxy Milk : 8.5/10 - Bloo Jay
Destini : 8/10 - Bloo Jay
Monopoly : 7.2 - Insane54
Alt Drei : 5.4 - MickRaider
Pontifex : 5.0 - Insane54

One Week Til Christmas

Or other politically correct holiday of course. You might be wondering "since when is Christmas in June"? Since I moved it there, get over it. However, some of you may realize that I'm talking about the Electronics Entertainment Expo, kicking off this coming Sunday, June 13th with Microsoft's NATAL presentation and with the major keynotes happening the following day. This E3 is special, as it will likely be the last E3 a Halo game made by Bungie will be demonstrated. So make sure if you are off school to tune into Microsoft's Press Conference at 8am PST on Monday, June 14th to get instant reveals on Halo: Reach, not to mention all the other badass announcements sure to be made.

Favoritist of Favorites

You may be wondering where exactly Forge Hub Favorites was this passed week. Or you may have realized I, like usual, dropped the ball on getting it out. Well it's that yes, but also that nominations were lower this week. Thus I opted to get back on track with FHF by delay the winners from last round until this upcoming Sunday, June 13th. So no fear, FHF is still its good old self, and those who won and weren't announced will not be forgotten. So keep an eye out for FHF this coming Sunday when it's back on track.

Gone Again is Another Week

Another week, another update goes by and another step closer to Halo: Reach. The closer we come to Reach, the closer we come to releasing the new, Reach-a-fied Forge Hub. I know you're getting pretty excited, but it'll be a little bit of a wait yet. Hopefully by this next update we'll have more to talk about both in terms of Reach and Forge Hub. Those of you who are finished school, come enjoy your summer at the Hub! Seeya next update.
