Forge Hub vs 343 Industries

This weeks SNF brought in some high class opponents. That's right folks, the Hub got it on in the back room with 343 Industries...you know, those guys who made Halo Waypoint and stuff. Oh, you know who they are and you were just caught up on the sexual innuendo? Get your mind out of the gutter! Anywho, Team Awesomesauce started with it's all star line-up of, well you can read who directly below this. As you know, when you play the best players you get the best results so if that doesn't outline this article for you, I don't know what will. I mean, it's freakin' Shad0w Viper Insane54, man! Read on below to find out detailed statistics of the games played.

Team Awesomesauce
Insane54 - "Hey guys, I got the sni--AWWWWW"
Shad0w Viper - *bleep bloop*
Roche178 - "So hai! My naim is Rochey..."

343 Industries
Mr Vociferous
GV David

Game 1: Oddball on Alizarin

The first game started up and it was clear that 343 had much more teamwork than Team Awesomesauce did, as we rushed around the map randomly trying to figure out what was going on. Falling down to a quick deficit, we got our act together and tried to pull the game back towards a tie. As we closed in on the oddball-holding GV David, he executed an amazingly epic maneuver, running, ducking, diving, barrel rolling, dodging, FALCON PUNCHing, and finally jumping straight off of the map. A giant fight for the oddball ensued, but finally Team Awesomesauce managed to pull the ball to their side and defend the carrier for the last few seconds.

Final Score:
Team Awesomesauce: 100
343 Industries: 92

"Stupid noob! Fraggin' like a pro! Once again, upping my teabag count! WOO!"

Game 2: King BRs on Redeemer

Coming off of a close win, Team Awesomesauce had full confidence going into the second game, and started off with a good start. Insane's amazing sniping skills propelled the team to a wide lead, with skillz that landed him a total of one kill over a span of nine sniper rifles picked up during the course of the game. As the team got cocky and overconfident (every member of the team got a triple kill, might I mention), we started to leave the confines of the hill to go look after more kills. As 343 started catching up, we knew we had to get our heads in the game and stick to the status quo of what had been working before. As we drew our battle plans and began roaring our ferocious battle cries, the game couldn't take anymore of the awesome, and froze (OR WAS IT A LAG SWITCH?!?!). The game instantly shot into a black screen, and by the time we came back out, 343 had already won. Though through somewhat unconventional methods, 343 did manage to win this one, but hey, it's an SNF, weirder things have happened (maybe).

Final Score:
Team Awesomesauce: 121
343 Industries: 143

Cool guys don't look at explosions.

Game 3: Conquest on Descended Vale

After doing more than enough of our share of claiming "OMFG MAD HAX WTF" while the next map loaded up, Vociferous said something on the order of "maybe it's just me, but this map seems kind of linear..." If you've been under a rock for the last two years (*cough*343), Conquest is a push-and-pull gametype that typically runs along a single route, where the focus of the gameplay is in a central area. Once the game started, right off the start Team 343 was clearly confused while Team Awesomesauce mopped the floor with their pro dual SMGs skills, winning the first round by a tough 5-2. However, after the first round 343 seemed to have gotten the hang of things and won the second round, 4-3. The last round was a hard fought battle for that last territory, but Insane managed to pull off a double kill and keep the score at a 4-3 win for 343, securing an 11-10 final score.

Final Score:
Team Awesomesauce: 11
343 Industries: 10

The battle for the final territory. On the epic scale, somewhere between what Vageta's scouter says about Goku's power level and Aragon's speech at the end of The Lord of the Rings.

Final Score:
Team Awesomesauce: 2
343 Industries: 1

As you can see, Forge Hub decimates another batch of completely unworthy opponents. It is all thanks to our overwhelming amount of skill. No, seriously it has nothing at all to do with Roche being Irish. Jokes aside, playing 343 was equally as fun as a barrel of monkeys and everyone knows how fun those things are. Besides, we may of beat them on the battlefield but they got us back with a little torture of their own. All in all, it was another successful SNF for the history books. Make sure to keep an eye out for our next step toward Halo community domination!
