Forge Hub vs Grifball.com
I'm sure we are all familiar with the mini-game phenomenon known as Grifball. The fine folks over at Rooster Teeth and Grifball.com have gone to a great deal of effort to spread the fun out to the masses. They run several leagues every year with lots of teams, different divisions, playoffs, the works. But probably most importantly, some really tough competition. In fact, for the next 2 days, you'd even be able to register for the Spring 2010 league if you fancied. Hurry though, as sign-ups will be closing April 8th! Interested but don't know where to start? Game 1: MLG CTF Pit 7 on MLG Pit
The opening match between the gurus of Grifball and your lovable staff broke the competitive ice and really set the tone for what would surely be the most intense SNF to date...until we decided to play MLG Pr0 for the second game. Anyway, due to some unfortunate connection issues that plagued the grifball gents, OneHawk was stuck in black screen for a portion of the match, leaving the rest of his team to succumb to the mighty hands of everybody but me, who was predictably average. But what I lacked in slaying prowess I made up for (marginally) in a few flag pulls that resulted in some timely flag caps that put us over the top in the end. As expected, Roche pulled through with like a gillion kills and made the rest of us look awesome!
Final Score:
Team Anti-Grav Pr0: 3 Totally Awesome Flag Caps

Game 2: MLG Pr0 on Anti-Grav
The follow up to our MLG madness took a turn for the n00b. Knowing the grifball game was just around the bend and with it, our inevitable demise, Insane offered up the ultimate change of pace that was sure to catch any foe off guard. The moral of this game was captured so eloquently below in the screenshot caption - Chaos. Pink shards were everywhere, and sniper rounds were aplenty. Mix that with the occasional trip mine that ultimately send the entire game into what was probably the most humorous respawn countdown of the night... twice. Ultimately, your friendly neighborhood forgin' fiends proved we were, in fact, WAAY more MLG Anti-Grav Pr0 than those Grifball.com chumps :P

Game 3: AGLA: Grifball on Grifball Live
Well, up two games to none and feeling pretty good about ourselves for technically securing the victory, the SNF finale couldn't have squashed our spirits any faster. These guys know what they are doing. And though we did have some great crash courses the day prior, and even had some prior league experience, the pounding we received couldn't have been more devastating. Don't get me wrong, we knew we were going to lose from the get-go. But we had some high aspirations of scoring at least a single goal. Unfortunately, our grifball-n00biness knows no bounds. It. Was. Ugly. But alas, the Grifball.com guys were gracious winners and great sports about the whole ordeal, which says a lot after we put the hurt on em in the prior two bouts. Cheers guys!
Final Score:
Team Anti-Grav Pr0: Well, zero... but we won the other two games, right?
Grifball.com: 9 pity scores

Bout the only good thing to come from this game was purty screenshots
Welp, not exactly ending the match with a bang, are we? At least not in our favor, anyway. Big ups to the Grifball guys for letting us win the first two matches so we didn't feel too bad/sad/embarrassed/shootmeintheheadnao when they smoked us like a fine Sweet Williams on their home turf. These guys got some srs skills...srsly (and even more class). Thanks a lot for playing with us guys, we'll have to practice some and get a rematch going sometime in the never future..jerks ;) Anyway, make sure all of you head on over to Grifball.com to see all the great things they are doing for the community and to get your Grifball fix in with some of the best. Also, props to kev1987 and III Diamond III for hosting the live Grifball match some of you guys saw streaming that day.
Oh, and please feel free to use this space to make fun of my less than 1337 Halo skillz seen in the three vids. I know I did. I'm terrible these days.
