This update sees us wave farewell to iRaynne from the Moderator cohort as he resumes the rank of Loyal, thanks to him for putting in the time to help keep the site clean and running smoothly. Don't think that the Staff has developed a light touch with this loss, though, as TexturedSun has returned to his old position of Moderator to help smite the unbelievers amongst us. We'd also like to welcome buddhacrane and MickRaider to the ranks of Journalist and Guardian respectively. You may have encountered their work already, but if not then be sure to look out for them around the forums.

Ladders and 1v1 Flashback

Many of you have already started participating in our latest feature at Forge Hub, the Competitions Section, but for those not familiar with our most recent addition we recommend you check it out toot sweet. We're essentially now able to run competitive tournaments and ladders within a dedicated system, and we're currently running a 1v1 ladder with a distinct Conflict flavour about it to kick things off. The first 3 weeks of this ladder form a competition to snag yourself a custom Xbox 360 controller, which ends on the 29th of March. You can find out full details on that, including maps, the gametype and rules, here.

New Header and Buttons

You may also have noticed a few visual changes around the site in the form of a new header and matching buttons for the FH Dark and FH Dark X themes. We thought that our old look was getting a bit tired, and these new implementations are part of an ongoing revitalisation of Forge Hub's look and feel. We'd like to thank Hari for putting his aesthetic wizardry in to action and producing this new header and buttons, also nabbing himself the custom title of GFX Artist in the process. If you're bubbling with ideas for our other themes then you may want to check out this thread and show us what you got.

Forge the Studio

Some of you may remember a contest we started a while back on behalf of our good friends over at The Running Riot, giving Forge Hub members the chance to forge a studio map for use in their monthly podcasts. Well, this contest is still going! We thought we'd take the time to remind you guys about it since the thread itself has slipped in to the depths of Forge Hub. Kete & Co. are still looking for new and interesting studio maps to play host to their monthly interviews and discussions, so if you'd like to see your creation up on the silver screen in one of the hottest calendar dates in the Halo community then you may want to bop on over to this thread.

Wallpaper Pack

Whilst this isn't the kind of thing we normally focus on in Site Updates, we thought this just too cool to pass up. Agamer93 has been putting in some serious time and effort constructing a frankly humungous wallpaper pack, and all for the good people of Forge Hub. There's a little something for everyone in there, so if your desktop is looking a little old and tired then you may want to check this out. Be sure to thank Agamer if you enjoy what he's produced, it was no small undertaking.

Forge Hub Favorites

Before we sign off until the next update, we wanted to remind you to do your bit for Forge hub Favorites. FHF is all about the community's voice on maps being heard, so why not head on over to the FHF Voting Thread and help choose the next round of maps due out on March 21st?

So long and thanks for all the fish

That be us done for another two weeks, Hubbers. And, as ever, if you've got any thoughts on this or any of our front page articles then we kindly direct your attention to our Front Page Feedback Thread. We're always keen to know what you guys think of our content, so if you're brimming with suggestions or just noticed something that could do with a little tweak then let us know. See y'all in two weeks, and stay safe.
