Sorry for the mix up fellas and congrats on your promotions.
New Skin
By now you should have noticed our slick new skin which was implemented a few weeks ago. If you haven't then scroll on down to the bottom of the page and check out FH Light/FH Light X right now.
Did you do it? Well if you didn't do it because you checked it out before and it was too bright for your eyes then go ahead and give it another try. You should notice that it is a shade or two darker than before. Don't worry, your eyes can thank us later.
Haloscene.com Obstacle Course Contest
Can't get enough obstacle courses eh? And you like sweet prizes as well? Jeez, you are pretty greedy. Nevertheless you should be pleased to hear that Haloscene.com is holding a time trial contest on a pretty challenging obstacle course. And the best part? The more people that enter the better the prizes get. Does 4000 MS points just for getting the best time on an obstacle course sound good to you? I hope it does, just think of all the useless crap you could buy on the Marketplace with that!

Halo 3: ODST and Forging 201 Forums
Two weeks ago we announced these new forums and so far their use has been.....mixed. Halo 3: ODST is off to a good start with plenty of pre release topics to discuss, but unfortunately nobody has utilized the Forging 201 section. And when I say nobody I mean nobody. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
So consider this our call to arms. Get over to Halo Forge Discussion and do some write ups, your fellow forgers need your help. Heck, if your write up is good enough you may get your little piece of FH fame and have it moved to and stickied at Forging 201. And if it's REALLY good you may even get a front page highlight. And pimp status. Well, maybe not pimp status.
This past week you were given the map Penance as a setting for your epic round 1 battles and most of you approved. Sadly some of you didn't and it was because of one main point: Breakability. We would like to take the time right now to clarify a few things. First, it is against the rules of the tournament to break any of the maps and if you are found to have broke a map and used it to your advantage you will be disqualified. The staff and premiums worked hard on all of these maps to make them play well and look awesome. Sometimes sacrifices were made to better the gameplay and aethetics of the map. You have to understand this and ultimately deal with it. If by chance a freak grenade sends you out of the map then you should immediately re-enter the map and continue play. Any questionable instances should should be saved as a film and given to the staff to review. Judgements will be made from there.
And second, if you have feedback, questions, or comments for the maps then feel free to post them in their corresponding threads. If your sole purpose is to point out a break then don't bother. Once again you will be disqualified for breaking the maps on purpose so there is no need to point out breaks. The last thing we need is another thread full of members who broke the map and then failed to notice the 38,986 other people that already pointed it out. If you have any other questions you can consult the FAQ thread or PM a Staff member. Tomorrow will signify the release of the round 2 maps. One for the winners bracket and one for the losers so get pumped up for that and lets try and operate more efficiently this time.
Behind the Corruption
Behind the Corruption is an interview of sorts of the good hard working staff members here at Forge Hub. Each new site update will bring in a new staff member. This week it's Moderator extraordinaire Chipsinabox, a.k.a Chipths :)
Q. Who is your Daddy and what does he do?...er....sorry.....Who are you and what do you do at Forge Hub?
A. Who am I?! I thought that would be pretty apparent by now. I'm Chipsinabox (AKA Chipths), and I'm a moderator at this lovely website. I pretty much make sure that everyone is in line, and fix many of Sarge's frequent mistakes. ;P
Q. Sounds like a crap ton of work. Fixing Sarge's mistakes is a long, arduous, and thankless job. Anyways, how is it you got to your spot?
A. Well, yeah, taking care of Sarge is a huge hassle and requires a lot of my time. As for my spot, I don't exactly remember how I got to where I am today, but I do remember that it included bribery and things no person should ever do. It will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Q. 60 percent of the time bribery works every time, trust me. So which part of community do you like the most?
A. I don't necessarily have a favorite community/forum, but if I had to choose, I would pick the General Chat or Off-Topic forums. It's a great place to check out if you're burnt out on forge for the time being.
Q. Got any tips for people new to Forge?
A. Really, check out the forging 101 section. It's your one-stop shop for anything forge related. It's just like a YouTube - Flea Market Montgomery - Long Version
Q. Haha, that guy gets me everytime. So, would you be willing to share some info on any new maps or gametypes you're working on?
A. I'm working on multiple projects, some of them I won't disclose, but I am working on another rave map and a clue map. Both are coming out pretty well at the moment.
Q. Pretty swell. Well, I think we've covered a good amount of areas. So for one final question, if you could play Halo 3: ODST early with three other members of forgehub, who would they be?
A. If I could get my hands on ODST early, I would drag along Shad0w Viper, Iv0rY Snak3, and Roche.
