TGIF #18 Recap
TGIF as always was full of win and excitement. This TGIF was extra important as it was the special birthday edition. Parties took the time to group forge maps on which they played on. I've been told they were "winsauce".
Insane54's Awesome TGIF of Awesomeness #18 (Special Birthday Edition!)
My TGIF was a blast. Even though we had someone with recon, (practically) everyone was really mature. We had a really good time, it seemed like everyone agreed. We started it off with a Forge session where we made an awesome map for 30 seconds. Some great sections of our map include Roche's Toll Area ("where the people go to pay to get into the map!"), a floating Ghost 'turret', a nonworking 'barrel roll machine', and much more madness. After that, we played some great games of my usuals, Tremors, Cat N Mouse, Lost Chamber, and so on, but inserted in it were some new, unfeatured ones. We had a good time with the (slightly broken) Slit Pinball, but an even better one with Mastar's Tremor N' Mouse, where we built a formidable hut of mongooses, only for it to get knocked down by the Tremor (super sad face D:). So, in conclusion, I hope that all that participated enjoyed, I definitely did :)

Tex's Party of Rawr
6:30 - 7:00 PM Central
-Forge Session...So laggy had to set it to invite only with 8 people in the party...4 people randomly left, and it was down to myself, Waylander, Sentinel, & Pegasi Delta. As awesome a party as that is...The map was beyond fail...We (err..I) gave up rather quickly...Though, with the session had, apparently it inspired Sentinel an idea. So it wasn't all in vein.
7:00 - 11:30 PM Central
-Awesome maps, all night long, not a single map (Except Tremors/Cat-n-Mouse) played more then once. Which was the first TGIF in my case where this happened. I was so beyond pleased with the night.
I would like to thank all that joined, and all that forged the 40+ maps that we played that night. <3 you all.
Linubidix's and Iv0rY Snacktacular's TGIF
as told by Linubidix
Well, we didn't start when we'd planned nor did we do a lot we'd originally planned but it was still a rather enjoyable game. Although, there was moderate Lag throughout the most part of the day. I got to play a brief game in Shock Theta's Party, this was the first time I'd played with Sir Theta so I was happy. Half an hour after we'd originally planned, I started the party without Mr. Snack. We opened with, something different, FFA Slayer on Gridlocked. We moved onto a few other things, such as Whiplash(before it got featured, and people seemed to enjoy it) Project Z, Mastar's Tremor n' Mouse.
During Tremor n' Mouse, Iv0rY Snak3 finally joined and he brought Shad0w Viper with him. This livened things up and we moved onto several games of Tremor Cliffs. I'd saved Snow Mice until Iv0rY joined, unfortunately I was in black screen for the most part of it so I missed out. At the end of Snow Mice, the lag removed me from the party and our TGIF was hijacked by Gamer 720. Me and Iv0rY got control of the party back and headed onto Matty's most recent map, Aperture which was great by the way. Then onto Heat Sink where Shad0w offered nothing except for moral support.
We eventually moved the party into our little variant of Forge Wars. We all agreed that we had indeed created something epic. I actually managed to get some merging done during the game and I guarantee you we made all of it within the one round. I dubbed the map "Smothered in Win" which is available for download.
After that we had a quick game of clue where I failed at being sneaky. Directly after that game, the party disbanded as both Iv0rY and myself made our exit from TGIF 18. Overall, it was a pretty enjoyable day, although it was pretty laggy that didn't detract too much from the fun. I do wish we'd played more games but, meh.

VICIOUS VICE'S RROD EXTRAVAGANZA
I'm happy to say that this TGIF went through problem free. My Xbox was up and running and people joined up without delay. We quickly jumped into our usual games of Peasant Hunt, Cat n mouse & Tremors. The party was full at 16 players for pretty much the entire night so we continues to play mini-game, since those don't lag with 16 players. Pennyless was the big hit of the night where we were able to fit 5 "coins" into a bubbleshield. Tremors n Mouse was also a favorite of the night, the chopper was brutal and the destruction was fast. My favorite part of the night was of course the deadly game of Jenga Tower. Jenga Tower was the most requested game of the night but i tried to mix it up. Peasant Hunt was as always very painful for the peasants, especially when i put 2 minotaurs and didn't tell anyone. Overall it was a great night and no one over stepped their bounds. I didn't even have to tell anyone to Show some F***ing Class!! One of the staples of my party :)

Pegasi and DRiSCOLL's BR Based Birthday Bash Recap
This TGIF got off to a less than perfect start with me leaving my mic at Uni for the weekend, thus rendering me silent for the duration of the night. Happily, my buddies DRiSCOLL and I SeNTiNeL I had me covered. We engineered the party through an elaborate relay system by means of Skype and text messages, and these two guys were great in relaying stuff to the party, who were also very patient and accommodating about the situation. Never a very large party, we began with the scheduled half an hour of forging which quickly extended into an hour. We even managed to get basic spawns and things down which, even though the final result was far from perfect, left us with a genuinely playable map, and play it we did. Not fantastic, but pretty impressive and cohesive as a whole considering.
We then dropped into some more comfortable customs, the party size ranging from around 6-8. DRiSCOLL brought some great maps to the table and we all had a blast playing Horizon, as well as a request to play Clive from some of the party which cheered me up no end. Unfortunately, lag developed more and more as the night wore on and the party began to ebb away until we were left with myself, DRiSCOLL, I SeNTiNeL I and one lone participant (since Sentinel turned out filling the role of a quasi-co-host). Tex saved us however and we were promptly assimilated into his party where the night began anew, forging again went pretty well and all who remained had a blast with the combined party. A night of mixed fortunes but fun times and great party members, thanks for bearing with us guys, and next TGIF will be a lot better organized on my part, promise.
