2v2 Faceoff - End of Round Four

Due to late results and unresolved matches at the end of Round 4, the deadline for Round 5 round has been extended to Sunday 5th October 5pm EST / 10pm GMT

Round 6 will end on Sunday 12th October 5pm EST / 10pm GMT

Remember - You play 3 matches - 1 Match on each of the 3 gametypes

Round four has officially ended, and the deadline for posting your results has now passed. The results of all 3 games should be posted in your respective map threads, within your group sub-board along with sufficient proof (screenshots showing results and links to the postgame carnage reports on Bungie.net). You should also have a film of each of the 3 matches saved in case they are needed.

Start of Round Five

Round 5 will work just like round 3 did and the round 4 map will still be used, only the losers bracket will play this round:

  • Only the losers bracket will play this week (round 5), giving the winners bracket a week off

  • Electric Slide (below) will be played again this week, and Eclipse (below) has now been released, giving both brackets ample time to practice for round 6.

  • The deadline for this round has been extended to Sunday 5th October to allow everyone to get their matches in. This is due to delayed results for round 4 and future rounds will revert back to the normal 1 week duration.

And remember, if you're stuck with anything, be sure to check out our tournament FAQ.

Electric Slide (Round 5 map)

As with the previous rounds, each match must consist of 3 games on the map, one of each gametype. After last round you should be familiar with the frag-fest that is Electric Slide, and since this week is Losers Bracket only its a fight to stay in the tournament, so brush up on your trigonometry.

Eclipse (Round 6 map)

As an asymmetrical MLG-styled map, Eclipse utilizes a layout with multiple routes and pathways to each area of the map. The map is divided in to three main, distinctive parts, A base, B room and needle spawn. Between these areas there are a number of walkways, tunnels and ramps that allow for easy flow around the map. Eclipse puts a real emphasis on controlling the high ground whilst not making it a death sentence to attack an opponent who has a strong vantage point.

Electric Slide is still being played this round (round 5) and Eclipse will be played in round 6, so get your practice in now and get to know the layout and feel of the map. Good luck with your matches.
