TGIF #15 Recap
As always, TGIF was enjoyed by a great many people. We had a smaller amount of parties running this week, due to the fact that a good deal of our hosts were unable attend since school has resumed.
TGIF continued regardless, and we hope that everyone who participated enjoyed their night.
Host Recaps:
DomiBoy's recap
Tex couldn't host for a long while as he had to work and Shad0w Viper couldn't have party leader due to his lack of featured maps, which left me as the default party leader; although without a microphone left clueless to what most of the party was saying. I had an alright time throughout the session. I text messaged Shad0w Viper a few times to ask what he would like to play, mixed through a few casual and competitive games (Cave Freaks was a big hit, thanks Inane), and even added in a few unfeatured maps where I felt necessary. I hope my party had a good time, and thank them for being so patient with my generally slowed choice of map decisions.
Shad0w Viper's recap
Well for the most part, this TGIF was alot of fun. We got off to rocky start when me and Dom couldn't connect to eachother, though that was quickly resolved. After that it was pretty much smooth sailing through the rest of the night, with only minor bits of lag here and there. Oh, and Tex took FOREVER to get off work
Insane54's recap
My party was great. We started a little slow, but there was surprisingly little lag, even with people joining/leaving at the beginning, and people from New Zealand and England mixed with the Americans. We gave everyone a turn in Tremors...and then had to play a few more rounds because we were having so much fun. Then we went on to play classic game after classic game, from Cat N Mouse to an intense game of Holding Cell, from an exhilirating game of Purple Bunker to a few fun rounds of Hobo Heights. At the end, as I usually do, I attempt to teach them Clue and play a round or two. But this time, they actually were mature, held by the honor rules, and learned it quickly. We played Clue for an hour straight until I had to leave. Great games, guys! :)
Tex's recap
The games we played. Win.
The people who we played with. Win.
The Days of Our Lives. Horrible Soap Opera.
Predicide's Recap
The games went well (mostly) in my room of maps and games created by members of the Ghosts of Onyx. There were a couple of infection games we played by room participants (RivalMass had a great zombie game we all loved), but all others came from the GoO. And, as expected, great fun and laughing joy filled the air (well, maybe not exactly.) There was the standard fare of occasional lag and connectivity problems, and my mic never ever seems to work in TGIF, but overall, everything went down great like teriyaki.
