Rice Bowl began with the idea of a single, deep-drop room, and quickly spanned outward from this into a spiralling, overlapping, room-based arena. Until the layout was complete I had no idea how the map would play, what directions the flow would take players in, or even what theme I would use for the map; despite this, thanks to several other players' feedback, I've managed to come out with an initially confusing, but fun and dynamic map, where keeping a keen eye looking upwards is key.

Both teams begin on the two lowest levels, with Red team spawning near to the Overshield, and Blue team doing the same with the Active Camo. In counter to each of these, there are weapons on the map to match each power up, as well a Sniper residing on the highest level.
Each room of the map has its weaknesses, whether they be easy flanks, or dropdowns from higher levels, meaning that while players will always fight to get higher up, they will find that there are few advantages to these high areas that don't result in them dropping back down at least one level.

Sniper (One clip, no reserves)*

All weapons and powerups have a 60 second respawn, while grenades have 30 seconds.

While this map may seem like a constant uphill battle, the layout of pits, ramps, and a teleporter mean that players will constantly shift their verticality; like the proverbial Yo-yo, or the state of a drug enthusiast, you will be moving from low to high and back again repeatedly throughout the match.
