This is a 4v4 asymmetrical Sanghelios themed map. It is heavily inspired by the Sanghelios campaign missions in Halo 5 and from the concept art from 343.

Originally, the map was intended to be similar to the desert aesthetics from the Sword of Sanghlios mission but later developed into a more Mercy (the Haven remake) theme. I felt that the forge pieces that we did have would translate better into a Mercy style map. Then I started sketches of the layout. I built the layout to meet a triangular style for strongholds and then added the proper pathing to connect the areas. I was very lucky that when transferred over to forge that most of the areas stayed mostly how I envisioned; something that doesn’t always happen. Then the map truly felt right when I added the lighting and textures. Another interesting fact is that I tried to make each area visually distinct for visual callouts and added specific sounds in each area to help distinguish the specific zones.

Additionally, I built the gameplay to have interesting areas of engagements while also balancing out my power positions and did my best to encourage player movement to push and flank the enemy team. The weapons are:

1 Beam Rifle

1 Brute Plasma Rifle

1 Suppressor

2 Carbines

2 Boltshots

2 Plasma grenades.

And, one os powerup in the center of the map.

Update: I have removed pride rock and rearranged stronghold placements. Fixed spawning and changed aesthetics to meet the new standards of the last update. I hope you guys enjoy.:)
